The Midnight Sun Home Care experience is one that we wish to share with our whole community—from our clients to our staff and from our business partners to the greater Anchorage population. We are grateful for the many opportunities we have to give back to the community by participating in events and fundraisers that grow awareness and funds for numerous, important causes. This year, the Jingle Bell Run/Walk for Arthritis in Anchorage has selected our founder and CEO, Kevin Turkington, as their corporate chair. Additionally, each year, Midnight Sun Home Care also gives time and funds to several organizations that include: Alaska Adopt-a-Highway Clean-up Program, Alaska Run for Women, Alaska Heart Run, Midnight Sun Charity Golf Classic and the Anchorage Senior Friendly Project.
We can contribute to these causes because of our greatest assets: our clients and our staff. They make us who we are and they make us stand out! We feel extremely lucky that our turnover rate is the lowest in the industry and we try to show this appreciation through our daily, routine interactions along with the special events that we host throughout the year.
I am often reminded of how grateful I am to be part of the Midnight Sun Home Care community, when I walk into or call an office that I have contacted several times and am not recognized. For me, this work is about knowing the stories that make our clients and staff who they are.
