Every Season is the Giving Season | Midnight Sun Home Care Gives Back to Anchorage Community

The weeks surrounding Thanksgiving and Christmas are often called the season of giving. We see toy drives, food drives and exchange gifts with each other. And while it is wonderful the holidays remind us to give to those less fortunate than us, at Midnight Sun Home Care we try to give back to our community during every season. Since we opened our doors, Midnight Sun Home Care has made it our company’s mission to be involved in the local community. Our service doesn’t stop with our in-home care clients, it extends into Anchorage and the surrounding areas.

Every year, we sponsor the Swing into Solstice charitable golf tournament, a fundraiser for the Arthritis Foundation Alaska Office. Several times a year our employees participate in the Adopt-a-Highway program, picking up trash and cleaning up the New Seward highway between Huffman road and De Armoun road. We lend our expert knowledge of senior care issues by offering free senior educational seminars to groups and organizations ranging in topics from fall prevention to avoiding senior targeted scams. Midnight Sun Home Care team members can also be found at several awareness walks throughout the year. Our employees have thrown their support behind the American Cancer Society, the Heart Run, the Alaska Run for Women and more.

As we look forward to the new year we are excited to continue to support Alaskans. Giving back is part of our company culture and we hope our commitment to community will inspire others to get involved.
