The HCSB A+ rating signifies that Midnight Sun Home Care abides by the highest standards in the provision of in-home care.
Midnight Sun Home Care of Anchorage, Alaska has successfully completed the 2016 Home Care Standards Bureau (HCSB) audit with an A+ rating. The HCSB audit confirms Midnight Sun Home Care passed extensive background checks and completed 12 annual education courses. Midnight Sun Home Care scored 100% on its disclosure statements, verifying current insurance and licensing, and indicating the agency has no adverse issues.
The A+ rating also signifies that Midnight Sun Home Care abides by the highest standards in the provision of in-home senior care, personal care, and respite care for persons needing companionship, light housekeeping, shopping, medication reminders, errands, doctor visits, and specialty care.
“We are extremely proud to continue our A+ rating with the HCSB and bring our clients the highest quality in-home care,” said Kevin Turkington, Founder and CEO of Midnight Sun Home Care.
The HCSB Board of Directors includes Dorcas Hardy, former Commissioner of the United States Social Security Administration, Ed Pittock, founder and former President of the Society of Certified Senior Advisors, Gail Hunt, President and CEO of the National Alliance for Caregiving, and Scott Larson, Managing Director of the HCSB.
If an A+ Agency is not compliant in any area reviewed, the HCSB Regulatory Board has the authority to remove the A+ rating temporarily or permanently. The HCSB Regulatory Board is comprised of four A+ rated home care agency owners and Harry R. Moody, former Director of Academic Affairs for AARP, Chairman of the Board for Elderhostel (now Road Scholar), and author of several landmark books on aging.
